Avoid those walking in illness,
Not in accord with tradition;
You will find yourself in distress,
Find to be in contradiction.

Know how you ought to imitate,
Because I was never idle;
I am not one to hesitate,
Disorderly like your idol.

We ate not bread without paying,
But labored through all day and night;
Not to burden you in saying,
The things that you should have done right.

It was not for having the right,
But to give you an example;
In being as the Lord’s delight,
Imitate as a disciple.

Those who won’t work let them not eat,
For some do walk in idleness;
As busybodies on their feet,
Evil thoughts full of sinfulness.

I encourage as I command,
To quietly earn a living;
Work not letting an idle hand,
In the efforts of your giving.
