One gives freely, yet grows his wealth,
Another withholds and won’t give;
As one will suffer from poor health,
But tends in poverty to live.

Whoever brings blessings enriched,
One who waters will be watered;
Liberal souls shall be bewitched,
Spellbound as the devil’s ordered.

People will curse to withhold grain,
But blessings on those who sell it;
Because God will reward with rain,
He will repay for their merit.

Whoever seeks good seeks favor,
But evil will find those who seeks;
For confession to their Saviour,
God will erase any critiques.

He who trusts in their wealth will fall,
But shall see the righteous flourish;
Because the Lord shall then enthrall,
As God ensures He will nourish.

Whoever troubles his own house,
Shall be inheriting the wind;
Bringing dishonor to his spouse,
A life never had disciplined.

A fool is serving a wise heart,
Righteous fruit is a tree of life;
Whoso wins souls has a wise start,
Knowingly will avoid the strife,

If the righteous are paid on earth,
Then how much more does the sinner;
For the wicked do not have worth,
But confession make a winner.
