I will tell you a mystery,
For we not all of us will sleep;
Those changed at a baptistery,
Eternal life expect to reap.

For in a twinkling of an eye,
When hearing the last trumpet sound;
The dead will be raised where they lie,
Preparing to be Heaven bound.

Mortal bodies to immortal,
Corruptible, uncorrupted;
To ascend through Heaven’s portal,
All of those who are selected.

Death swallowed up in victory,
As far as death, where is your sting;
No sting seems contradictory,
What a sinful death it could bring.

The sting of death always from sin,
The power of sin is the law;
Decay like cancer spreads within,
That will result having a flaw.

God gives us victory through Christ,
Be firm in the work of the Lord;
His flesh and blood were sacrificed,
Your labor will not be ignored.
