Rise and shine for your light is near,
Glory of the Lord has risen;
Come and honor as you revere,
Let the captives out of prison.

The darkness shall cover the earth,
Thick darkness over the people;
But the Lord showing His true worth,
As people gather at His temple.

Nations shall come unto His light,
Kings to brightness of His rising;
Lift up your eyes unto His sight,
As you hear all the angels sing.

Lift up your eyes around to see,
Your daughters shall come from afar;
Your grandchildren are fancy free,
Like your sons as a morning star.

Then you shall see as radiant,
Your heart shall thrill as you exult;
The abounding sea obedient,
As the waves no longer tumult.

The wealth of nations come to you,
Multitudes of camels you see;
Bringing gold and frankincense through,
Because of Good News that will be.

For all of the flocks of Kedar,
Shall be gathered next to the sheep;
Towards the east they look for a star,
God will glorify as you sleep.
