Sufficient Grace

(7 views)0
If I should wish to boast,
I would not be a fool;
Due to the Holy Ghost,
Since the truth is the rule.
But I refrain from it,
No one thinks more of me;
Since there is no profit,
Of what you hear or see.
I am not conceited,
In surpassing greatness;
A thorn was repeated,
In my flesh for straightness.
Satan tries to harass,
That I would become vain;
So that I would surpass,
Of Christ’s level of pain.
Three times I had pleaded,
That it might depart me;
But time’s not depleted,
That could let me foresee.
His grace is sufficient,
His power is perfect;
For I am deficient,
Because of my neglect.
I will boast the glory,
About all my weakness;
By telling the story,
And about my meekness.
