Bless be the Father of the Lord,
Who has blest us through Jesus Christ;
Spiritual blessings as afford,
Heavenly places that enticed.

Even as He chose us in Him,
Before the basis of the world;
We should be holy and not grim,
Blameless what has been unfurled.

He ordained us for adoption,
As His sons and daughters through Christ;
Thereof His will as His option,
To His good pleasure as sufficed.

The praise of His glorious grace,
Wherein He made us accepted;
In the Beloved who does embrace,
And will never be rejected.

For in Him we have redemption,
Forgiveness of our trespass;
Of His grace without exemption,
From a sacrificial purpose.

Since He has abounded toward us,
In all His wisdom and insight;
Having such a prudence as thus,
Shining on us a righteous light.

Make us known of the mystery,
Through the accordance of His will;
Which He set forth in history,
Through Christ Jesus for to instill.

A plan for the fullness of time,
In Him for uniting all things;
From things in Heaven as we climb,
And on earth what Christ Jesus brings.
