Let everyone being subject,
To governing authorities;
Higher powers not to reject,
Or thwarting their abilities.
No authority except from God,
Exists He did not institute;
That which He ordained should applaud,
For the Lord in being astute.
Who might resist authority,
Resists what God has selected;
Judgment befalls iniquity,
Condemnation is reflected.
No threat for ruler’s good conduct,
For authority has no fear;
Only evil that would obstruct,
To God the ruler would revere.
