From days of Wordsworth and before
They wrote of their lives back when
But along came endless newest forms
From academics to you name since then

The bushmen wrote of their lives as any
Using simplicity thoughts feelings too
Endless in endless situations did the same
Through the many years gone through

Now in this day and age so many still
Try to mimic the greats all gone now
With as much chance of doing so as
Making a car from a farming plow

How could any write honestly today
Of what life's like this point in time
It's on the news in the papers every day
All of it being somewhat divine

One with any poetic feelings today
More like listening to wind that blows
The only poetic forms still existing
Mountains oceans nature as a river flows

Poetry as was long ago no longer poetry
Living a good loving life writes your own
Being a good soul loving earth and others
Anything poetic all begins within your home
