Gratifying to be a selfless contributor
Instead of a entitled looter
Warmth inside my heart
See the sun poking through the darkest of clouds
Curse of a spell has been broken.

There wasn’t an agenda
A manipulation in mind
Witnessed too often the quid pro quo
Purveyors of deceit
With their charm
Third rate vocabulary
Get credit undeserved
A slave to the archetype
Believing they are somehow free.

So, I will take the positive vibes
In moving onto the next day
With a profound hope and faith
That by purifying this heart of emotional poison
I have a good chance of not only happiness
But serenity
Yes, it’s nice to be needed
And I thank you for giving me the opportunity.
